Who We Are
In 2005, Reid Hall became the Arts Living Learning Community, a community in support of residents with majors or an interest in the arts. This program is a collaboration with the College of the Arts. In support of this community, Reid Hall offers studio space, gallery space, and practice hours in the evenings which permit residents to rehearse musical instruments in their rooms.
Create & Collaborate
As a community, we create a residential culture that supports and promotes student academic pursuits and creativity. Furthermore we foster environment where students from all art-related disciplines can collaborate and learn from one another.
- To assist residents interested in the arts in making connections with other interested residents, College of Fine Arts faculty and academic advisors, and related campus resources
To promote involvement with the arts and rich cultural opportunities available on campus and in the Gainesville community.
Reid Hall Community Resources
Reid Hall offers studio space for residents to work on current projects. This is a great spot for residents to paint, to work on architecture projects, or to complete any other artistic projects they have.
The Reid Gallery offers a great place for residents to display their art projects. The Gallery allows art to be hung on the walls and has lighting that can be rearranged to best display artwork. The Gallery also serves as a great place to study.
Reid Hall offers practice hours in the evenings, which permits students to rehearse their musical instruments in the comfort of their own room. The residents vote on the exact hours in the fall semester.
