Who We Are

The Black Cultural Living Learning Community (BCLLC) at the University of Florida welcomes all students and is a space to live, learn, and lead together in a multicultural environment. The Association of Black Faculty and Staff at UF is a key partner and supports its mission, vision, and values–including multiculturalism, inclusion, and dialogue.

    The Black Cultural Living Learning Community prepares students to be inclusive and knowledgeable leaders at the university and in the greater community. The global scholar understands the complexities, interconnectedness, and multicultural nature of today’s global community and economy.

    Course Offerings

    • IA Intro to African American Studies (AFA 2000) – 3 credits
    • Key Issues in African American & Black Atlantic Thought (AFA 3310) – 3 credits and fulfills requirements for Humanities (H) and Diversity (D). It also fulfills the Gordon Rule E6 requirement.

    Campus Partners

    Our partnership with Association of Black Faculty and Staff and Black Affairs at UF help to guide residential engagement and host leadership development and involvement opportunities that align with community objectives.
