We’ll start the conversation and give you the tools to finish it.

10% of conflicts are due to difference in opinion and 90% are due to wrong tone of voice.

We Can Get Through This. Together.

Living on campus is incredibly rewarding. However, even the most fulfilling on-campus experience can have highs and lows. Peer Mediators are Specialty Resident Assistants (RAs) who help facilitate conversations between residents who may not see eye-to-eye. Through extensive training the Peer Mediators guide conversations and carefully navigate sensitive topics in an effort to improve residents' living experiences.

The P.I.N. Model

Peer Mediators engage with residents first by understanding the following…

P: Positions -

I: Interests -

N: Needs -

What an RA Does...

Conflict Coaching: This is a goal oriented process in which the coach (RA) is working one-on-one with a client (resident) to untangle a conflict and develop effective conflict behaviors and skills. (Hover for more!)

What a PM Does...

Mediation: This is a confidential forum where multiple parties in a dispute (roommates) share their concerns, perspectives, and interests with each other.

My roommate and I get along SO much better now.
